Compounds

Bioplastics are derived from renewable sources and are environment-friendly replacements for traditional plastics. There are different bioplastic compounds like; Polylactic Acid (PLA) made of corn starch or sugarcane. Starch blend bioplastics are made from renewable sources like corn, tapioca, and potatoes. It is suitable for making rigid packaging like cutlery and food containers. Polybutylene Adipate-co-Terephthalate (PBAT) is used for flexible packaging like mulch films, garbage bags, and films. It is used to make packaging materials, agricultural films, and cutlery. These compounds are used in combination to create different applications. Among these, the blend of poly (butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT) and polylactic acid (PLA) is a viable solution to give a synergistic effect.

PBAT (Polybutylene Adipate Terephthalate)
It is an eco friendly, compostable polymer that is both tough and flexible and is the perfect alternative for conventional low-density polyethylene. The most popular application of PBAT is making food packaging, shopping bags, garbage bags, lawn leaf, cling wrap and industrial packaging. It is suitable for vacuum forming, extrusion film and blow moulding applications.

Polylactic Acid (PLA)
Polylactic Acid is produced from fermented corn, sugarcane, sugarbeet and cassava starch. It is used to make biodegradable and compostable products. It can be melt processed to make a blown film, spun into fibre, and extruded into straws. It is 100% rigid and compostable and hence excellent for making cutlery. When blended with PBAT, it makes the film extra strong. Some manufacturing techniques include extrusion, casting, injection moulding and spinning.

GB01DE – Carry Bags / Garbage Bags Opaque / Transparent
Our eco-friendly resins are made up of compostable polymers for blown film extrusion. It is best suitable for applications such as Carry bags, Shopping bags, T-Shirt bags and garbage bags. We have two grades of compounds Opaque and Transparent.

Teraforrm Bioplastic Compounds are industrially compostable as per ISO 17088. These resins can be easily processed in all types of conventional blow-film extrusion plants.

MF01DE – Mulch Film
Our sustainable resins are made up of compostable polymers for blown film extrusion. It is best suitable for applications such as agricultural mulch films. We developed this product to use as a natural replacement for black plastic. This product is compostable and biodegrades between 6 – 8 months. This environmentally-friendly film from our compound blocks weeds and saves the costs of cleaning up and disposing of black plastic.

Teraforrm Bioplastic Compounds are compostable as per the ISO 17088. These resins can be easily processed in all types of conventional blow-film extrusion plants.

CU01DE – Cutlery
Our eco-friendly resins comprise biobased and compostable polymers for injection moulding machines. It is best suitable for applications such as cutlery items such as forks, spoons, bowls, dishes and rigid packaging. We have two grades of compounds for hot and cold applications.

Teraforrm Bioplastic Compounds are industrially compostable as per ISO 17088. These resins can be easily processed in all types of conventional injection moulding plants. No special changes are required in the process and equipment except temperature.

ST01DE – Straw
Our eco-friendly resins comprise biobased and compostable polymers for extrusion moulding. It is best suitable for applications such as Straws. We have two grades of compounds Straight and Bendy Straws.

Teraforrm Bioplastic Compounds are industrially compostable as per ISO 17088. These resins can be easily processed in all types of conventional extrusion moulding plants. No special changes are required in the process and equipment except temperature.

CF01DE – Cling Film
Our eco-friendly resins are made up of compostable polymers for blown film extrusion. It is best suitable for speciality films such as cling films for food packaging. Films from our compounds are a compostable alternative to conventional flexible plastic packagings like polyethylene and polypropylene.
